MEET THE TEAM
|
Hi, we are the Browns from Columbus, Ohio. Let’s Go Buckeyes! We’ve been in the Czech Republic since September of 2004. We now currently live in Olomouc, the fifth largest city in the country. A majority of our time consists of chasing our 3 kids around the park and studying the Czech language. Trying to learn Czech gives us a whole new perspective on the Tower of Babel.

STEVE
longs to see all the peoples of Moravia worship God in spirit and truth. He enjoys playing basketball every Tuesday night with 8-12 Czech guys. He also enjoys taking our golden retriever, Sally, for a run in the park. You can often find Steve reading, wrestling the kids and April, in a coffee shop pounding his 8th cappuccino, hanging out with a wide assortment of Czechs, and once in a while playing NCAA football on the PS2.
April
enjoys getting up early, early, early in the morning and power-walking around the park and taking the kids to the park. Lately, April has taken a real likening to home schooling English and Reading to Chloe and Vance. April can normally be found in the town square finding something trendy for our apartment. Spending time with women and sharing the love of Christ with them is a passion of April’s, so are dates with Steve.
Chloe
has just started her second season of dance/ballet. She is really excited to learn to twirl in her tutu. Chloe loves to make crafts, read, apply make-up to everyone in the house, and collect ladybugs. She attends Czech kindergarten everyday for 4 hours. Chloe can’t wait to speak Czech. She loves her brother Vance, and sister Sophie very much.
Vance
enjoys being a boy and doing everything that an energetic 3 year old boy should be doing. If he isn’t wrestling his Daddy(even the dog), or chasing his sisters, you can find him playing with dinosaurs and putting a puzzle together. He loves to look through books about animals and is enamored with insects. He also attends kindergarten and loves to play with his friends and wrestle of course.
Sophie
is our youngest ball of energy. She loves to do everything her big sister and brother do. Sophie loves to color, read books, and going to the park to swing. She just started wearing big girl panties and demands her privacy went going to the potty. Even though she is normally going 100mph she is such a snuggler. If you would like to know who speaks the most Czech in our family look no further than Sophie!
