You are appreciated!
We want to take this time to thank you all for your prayer support, encouragement, letters, and cards in the mail over the last few months. It is a joy to partner with you in reaching Moravia.
What’s New?
The entire Brown family spent 3 weeks in Prague, Czech Republic as Steve and April attended Strategy Coordinator Training. It was a rich time of growth, learning, fellowship, and fun. Chloe, Vance, and Sophie had a blast spending time with other MK’s. We are soooo grateful for the church members in the States who took a month of their time to invest in our kids!! We are back in Olomouc now and looking forward to the spring and summer seasons and reaching out to many Moravians.
We are starting to thaw out! We’ve seen temperatures drop to -15F(-26C), and every part of the ground has been covered by snow and ice for 2 months. However we are finally getting to see the ground again and the temperatures are now rising past freezing!! We were just commenting on how warm it was outside when the temperature reached a high of 33 degrees for the day.
Our Health
As mentioned above we spent 3 great weeks in Prague only to come home and have the kids get sick. We have noticed a trend that every time we leave Olomouc as a family and then return, at least one of us gets ill. Also, we have also noticed that when we are about to hold some type of a Bible Study, have people over, or have a short-term team from States here, we all get sick either before or after these events. We ask that you lift our family up to the Father and ask for our protection and health.
*Please Pray for Vance as he will have his adenoids removed the first week of April. We will be traveling to Prague to have this procedure done.
Bible Study
Many of you have been praying for the birth of a new church in our city, Olomouc. We are so thankful for your prayers and ask that you continue to intercede on East Czech Republic’s(Moravia) behalf. We are beginning a Bible Discussion Group/Study on March, 5th. We have invited many people and are hoping that 6 or 7 will attend regularly. We are very excited as for people have committed to coming.
English Discussion Group
We have invited all the parents(40) at Chloe and Vance’s school to come to our English Discussion Group. Many have shown an interest and it is our hope that a few will come.
Statistics
There are 79 churches in Moravia(Eastern Czech Republic). 3,608,000 people reside in Moravia. That’s over 45,000 people to 1 church.
Pavel
Many of you have been praying for Pavel and his girlfriend. In January we were supposed to go over to his apartment and spend time together. We haven’t seen him in the last 2 months, but he has seen our friend Elen. Pavel asks Elen questions about what Steve believes, then Elen asks Steve, Steve tells Elen, then Elen tells Pavel. It is an interesting situation, but we continue to lift up Pavel and his girlfriend. We ask that you
would also.

We praise the Lord for the Bible Discussion Group that is beginning this month, and the interest many people have shown in it.
We thank the Lord for the churches that will be coming to Moravia in the next 6 months to partner with us in reaching Moravians with the gospel.
We thank God for Southern Baptists who give so generously so we can carry out our call to Eastern Czech Republic through the International Mission Board.
We thank God for the 3 weeks we spent in Prague for Strategy Coordinator training.

Pray for the Bible Discussion Group and English Discussion Groups that we are involved in. Pray God would draw many people unto Himself.
Pray God would birth new churches in Olomouc.
Pray for our heath as we are getting slammed right now.
Pray for Pavel, his girlfriend, Ludek, and Martina
Pray for Sidliste Vinohrady, a suburb of Brno(2nd larest city in Czech) as we will be ministering to this community this spring and fall.
Pray God would provide a young man to come and minister with us this summer.
We thank you and love you all!
Steve, April, Chloe, Vance, and Sophie
